The responsibility of being a Daddee

A while ago I became a foster Daddee.
His name was Nate.

Of course it was entirely up to me to raise him to be a good doggie.

And that was quite stressful as he was always doing the wrong thing.

He played all the time 😦

So, when he looked to be having too much fun, I confiscated his toys. Discipline is important you know.

He put a shoe on my tail 😦

So I taught him how to be a good Doggie. The essence of which is spending lots of time laying around.

He got better…

Then just as i was beginning to like him;

he left.
and I was sad.

  1. fostering is a tough job. I’m facing the same trauma in rehoming Alfy. It’s going to break my heart.

On the bright side, your fostering gave little Nate the BEST shot at a happily ever after home. Thanks for caring, so much, Digby.

  2. awww Digby, Nate was such a cutie! And it looks like you made a great foster dad! Im sure you taught him well and he’s impressing his forever home with all the stuff he learned from you!

  3. The young grasshopper learned furry well!

PeeEssWoo: Sorry about the doggies in your neighbourhood…it is khwite sad when that happens ;-(

  4. Wow, Nate was such a cutie, too bad he had to leave, but you did a great job with him and now he is going to make another family very happy. Don’t be sad, you never know – there could be another little one in need of your tutoring right around the corner.

  5. Hi Digby – aww, you made a top daddy! Being a daddy is hard we’re told – letting go is the hardest. You taught Nate well so he’ll always take part of you with him, that’s something you can always be proud of. 🙂

And now you’re a big brother – that is a very important job too! We realise that Delta has a bit of a mischievous side, he he he! We DID enjoy the comments you both left on our last post, ‘JD and Max stylie’ – he he he! 😀

  8. Oh my, you did a great job I can tell! I am sorry you are having ’empty nest syndrome’ but when your kids leave for the real world it means you did a great job! He was adorable too. I love the pic of you two on the couch!
